Berat

Berat is an ancient museum-city in south-central Albania, celebrated globally for its remarkably preserved Ottoman-era architecture and designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Known famously as the “City of a Thousand Windows,” its signature landscape features cascading rows of white-stone houses with large wooden windows built tightly into the steep hillsides along the Osum River, dividing the historic quarters of Mangalem and Gorica.
