Day 1 Arrival in Shkodër, check-in, and sunset at Rozafa Castle
Arrive in Shkodër and settle into your boutique accommodation. In the late afternoon, we will head up to the majestic Rozafa Castle. Your local guide will share the ancient legends of the fortress while you watch a spectacular sunset over the merging Buna and Drin rivers. Welcome dinner at a traditional restaurant
Day 2 Cultural day tour exploring the Lead Mosque and the Marubi National Museum of Photography.
Dedicate the day to Shkodër’s rich artistic history. We will visit the Marubi National Museum of Photography to view Albania’s oldest visual archives, followed by a stop at the historic Lead Mosque. The afternoon is yours to relax, grab a coffee, or rent a bicycle on the vibrant, pastel-colored Pedonale boulevard
Day 3 Day excursion to the breathtaking Lake Shkodra or Mesi Bridge.
Head to the peaceful fishing village of Shiroka on the shores of Lake Shkodra. Board a private wooden boat for a relaxing cruise through the lily pads, keeping an eye out for diverse bird species. Afterward, enjoy a lakeside lunch featuring traditional baked carp (Krap në Tavë) and explore the beautifully restored lakefront promenade.
Day 4 Excursion towards the Albanian Alps gateways (or Koman Lake).
Travel just outside the city to visit the iconic Mesi Bridge (Ura e Mesit), an exceptionally preserved 18th-century Ottoman stone bridge arching over the crystal-clear Kir River. Spend the afternoon exploring the local artisanal workshops of the city, including the famous Venice Art Mask Factory where intricate carnival masks are handcrafted.
Day 5 Local souvenir shopping on the Pedonale and departure
Enjoy a final morning blending with the locals at the bustling open-air green market. Pick up some regional delicacies, mountain herbs, or handcrafted souvenirs before wrapping up the tour. Departure from Shkodër with unforgettable memories of Northern Albania.
