After a fresh breakfast overlooking the bay of Sarandë, we slide behind the wheel to conquer one of Europe’s most magnificent driving routes: the Albanian Riviera. This legendary highway twists along soaring mountain faces, treating you to dramatic, uninterrupted vistas of the deep blue sea crashing far below against hidden gravel coves. Our first major architectural landmark is the commanding Porto Palermo Castle, a structural marvel where history meets the open sea.

We begin our final morning on the Riviera exploring the dual coastal gems of Dhërmi and Palasë. These wide, stunning stretches of coastline are famous for their smooth white pebbles and deep, intensely blue water, sitting dramatically right where the massive mountain walls drop straight into the sea. After a relaxing morning walk and a quick swim, our route leaves the shoreline to scale the towering, pine-forested ridges of Llogara National Park.
